14 August 2025

From August 31 to September 2, 2025, Leuven.AI will host a conference celebrating 600 Years of KU Leuven and 70 Years of AI. The event will bring together renowned AI pioneers with roots at KU Leuven in a historic gathering, offering a unique opportunity to reflect on AI’s past, present, and future.
The conference program covers a wide range of disciplines, including Reinforcement Learning & Robotics, Learning and Reasoning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, AI in Business & Industry, Philosophy of AI, AI Hardware, and AI Regulation. In addition to keynote sessions, the event will feature science and industry exhibitions, bringing together KU Leuven’s leading AI labs alongside select industry partners from Leuven and Flanders. Sessions are designed for both AI researchers and the general public, welcoming alumni, professionals, and anyone interested in AI.
Datashift is proud to participate as a Gold Sponsor. Our Senior AI Governance Consultant, Samantha Brooks, will deliver a keynote titled: '“Bridging the Policy-Engineering Gap in Responsible AI: An Industry Perspective.' Samantha will explore the disconnect between AI policy and industry implementation. While policymakers focus on foundational AI models, industry engineers work with domain-specific tools like mortgage simulators or chatbots. Her talk will highlight practical approaches for translating policy requirements, such as the EU AI Act, into actionable governance frameworks for real-world AI systems.
As a gold sponsor, Datashift is excited to engage with the vibrant AI community at KU Leuven, sharing insights, fostering collaboration, and contributing to shaping the future of responsible AI.
