At Datashift, we see our role as more than delivering projects, we want to create positive impact on the people and communities around us. But what does that mean in reality? Making sure our words and good intentions become a reality.

As a company, we stand for a set of values that are shared and carried by everyone at Datashift: smart simplicity, a hunger for impact, growing together, and using data with purpose. We also believe in doing good. That may sound fluffy, but for us it is more than a slogan or a one-off initiative. It’s reflected in the choices our people make and in how we support them in a steady, honest way.

From Sporting Challenges to Life-Changing Impact

One of the recurring activities is the 100km Run for Kom op tegen Kanker. Where Datashift is participating for the 6th time. Kom op Tegen Kanker shares a mission close to our hearts, as too many colleagues at Datashift have been personally affected through their loved ones.We support this cause by raising funds for cancer research. The tradition has become something we look forward to: colleagues selling plants, cookies,granola, chocolates, small actions that create a big impact when done together.In the end we run the 100 kilometres together as a team.

Health and well-being remain central to many of our initiatives. Our teams also joined Climbing for Life,cycling mountain routes to raise awareness and funds for diabetes-related charities, and supported Road2Ventoux in favor of Kinderkankerfonds. These challenges bring people together, energize us, and remind us what collective effort can achieve.

During Mobility Week, colleagues swapped cars for bikes and ran mobility challenges to raise money for Rondpunt vzw, supporting people affected by traffic accidents. And through longstandingsupport for the Red Cross and Bloedserieus, many Datashifters donate blood on a regular basis, a small gesture that can save lives.

Creating Safe, Caring Spaces for Children

Children’s well-being is close to our hearts. Datashift donated to Kinderkankerfonds and supported their mission to improve the quality of life of young patients and their families.

Through a dedicated challenge for CAW,our teams helped fund the creation of a safe and comforting space for children and parents experiencing intrafamily violence. This environment allows children to feel at ease during extremely difficult circumstances, something every child deserves.

We also collected laptops, screens, and equipment for Bednet. The donated and upcycled materials help sick children continue their education from home or the hospital, ensuring they stay connected to classmates and learning.

And with our support for Cliniclowns vzw,we help bring moments of joy and resilience to sick or disabled children and to people living with dementia.

Strengthening Communities, One Initiative at a Time

In Mechelen, Datashift funded AEDheartsavers installed in public spaces, devices that can save lives when every second counts. We simply believe that helping local communities is part of being a responsible company. These initiatives say something about how we work together and what colleagues find important.

Looking ahead

We want to move from one-off actions to longer-term partnerships. We’re currently exploring organizations we can support in a consistent way, partners that focus on creating a better future for people and the environment.
