Bio of our esteemed speakers

Korijn holds a MSc in Science of Engineering and is the General Manager of Airport Intelligence, implementing data-driven operational management solutions at other airports and delivering expert consulting services. Before taking on the lead of Airport Intelligence, Korijn worked more than 10 years for Brussels Airport and worked several years as a Strategy and Management Consultant.

As an airport expert, Korijn’s main focus has always been to continuously improve airport processes (passengers, bags and aircraft / airside), develop transversal coordination over the different airport flows and implement and transform the Brussels Airport Operational Coordination Centre (APOC) into a pro-active and data-driven coordination centre. As such, she managed the implementation of the Airport Operations Plan (AOP), a tool offering operational teams the right insights to ensure timely and pro-active mitigation of potential bottlenecks through forecasting, planning, monitoring, mitigating and post-OPS capabilities.

Korijn also plays an active role in the implementation of the APOC and AOP concepts in collaboration with other European airports. She leads a consortium of 12 airports in a European project to develop an AOP under European funding and presides the ACI Europe AOP Group.

Kristof Hermans is an innovative and social veterinarian with extensive experience in data management. He holds a Master in Veterinary Science from the University of Ghent and is pursuing a Ph.D. focusing on data quality in the dairy industry. Kristof has a proven track record in implementing and developing data quality tests and visions, both in educational and professional settings. Kristof has coordinated teams in projects like GplusE and worked in senior data roles at the Belgian bank Argenta. He is known for his helpful work ethic, patience, perseverance, and good sense of humor.

Jasmin has a background in Economics and gradually gathered more interest and focus in Technology. She started her career in 2017 in Consulting, with focus on enterprise transformations, Technology oriented. In May 2023, she joined Umicore’s Digitalization team, where she holds a clear focus on Data Management & Data Governance from a Project Manager point of view.

Jasper has been working in different data roles since 2000. He worked for 20 years in the Telecom sector, starting as a jack-of-all-trades by necessity in a data-team of 3 people, leaving a 100+ team behind as data architect. In January 2021, Jasper continued his career at Umicore, combining an architecture role in the central IS department with a design role in the Digitalization team.
